Fujian software international (FSI), originally named Fujian Software Association, is a non-profit organization founded in May of 2002 under the authorization of the Information Industry Department and Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department of Fujian Province. FSI has over 30 member enterprises in existence and employs over 5000 software R&D staff. It has set up overseas offices in Japan and Britain. Its products sell well in 11 countries and regions including Japan, America, Singapore and Taiwan. The products of its member enterprises are found in the fields of telecommunication, bank, securities, electric power, traffic, insurance, education, medical treatment, hygiene, the government, etc.

    FSI is operated in the mode of “Governments setting up the stage, enterprises operating, resource sharing, and bring into being composition of forces”. It is devoted to constructing a first-class base of software import and export in China, fostering an international team of software professionals, boosting the internationalizing process of Fujian software enterprises, producing international brands of Fujian software industry, and putting into practice the strategy of paying equal attention to "going out" & "bringing in" and co-development of “localization of international market & internationalization of domestic market” through the Fujian software service platform for international cooperation.

Major Functions of FSI:　

    International Cooperation:
    To establish channels to gather overseas market information, to build relations with local governments, enterprises and intermediary organizations, to promote the negotiation and cooperation on such issues as the outsourcing of enterprise software, product maintenance and the like, and to be a bridge for Fujian software enterprises to exchange information, communicate and cooperate with software enterprises abroad.
    To ensure the market publicity and development successful, and to set up international brands of Fujian Software International. 
    To make Fujian enterprises serve as an overseas medium for international market cooperation, and to fulfill the tasks and mission assigned by the government departments in charge and FSI as well.
　
    Software Outsourcing
    To make full use of the seventeen years` experience of international software development by the leading enterprises, to take advantages of the worldwide mature multi-site collaboration development environment, the training system of software development for Japan, and CMMI3-class software process management criteria to facilitate the construction of a base for demonstration of software outsourcing and exchanges.  
    To integrate and converge the talents resource of outsourcing software development, and to give birth to such a team. 
    To be in charge of the management of accepting, sending and contracting outsourcing orders of FSI.
　
    Consultation and Training
    With the platform of the international software consultation & training center, to combine the advantages in both resources of international and domestic experts, to provide FSI member enterprises with pertinent training for talents of outsourcing software development and of project management planning, to improve enterprises` capability of software development, of project management & control, and of international business exchanges.
